The absorbency is fine... other reviewers should probably try Super absorbency instead of regular. The Playtex Sport applicator makes insertion very easily and painless....
I am an athlete and have never had any leakage issues during sports. The only problem is with overnight use, but that's always a risk with any brand of tampon- just pair it up with a panty liner and you're good to go.
